Let Me Tell Ya 'Bout My Best Friend

Say hello to my newest and bestest bud for the next several months. And no it's obviously not a brand spankin' new DSLR camera that takes spectacular quality shots as you can tell by these horridness of these pictures. No, I'm just working with a self timer app on my iPhone 5 and a staircase to prop it up on. So my version of shot taking is more like the Jose to the DSLR's Patron. It gets the job done either way but you'd still go with the better version ten out of every ten times. And probably puke less along the way but that's a story for another day.

Anyway back to that new best friend I acquired. Her name is Miola and she's from Aldo. Don't ask me where Aldo pulls these cracked out names from but they could call their kicks Vomit and Turd and I'd still be all over them when boot season arrives. I picked these babies up right before my trip to Florida last week because obviously buying boots is a necessary purchase an hour before you hop on a plane to go somewhere where the thermostat still reaches 90. I never said I was logical people.

But I do like to think that I have good taste in my boot selection. And that's because these boots are not only gorgeous but they're also only $100. Now I know I could go to Target and snatch up a pair that look somewhat similar for, say, less than $50 but you know those are only going to last you one season. You do the math. They come in cognac (mine) black and a taupe color that I absolutely love but I'd probably get them dirty faster than a two year old in a mudpit so I opted for the darker shade.

Aren't they beauts? Go buy them because they excite me every time my outfit calls for skinnies or leggings and I know they'll excite you too. Plus they have that little splash of gold around the straps on the heels which I throughly enjoy coordinating with other gold pieces. It's the little things that get me.

Okay enough about a damn pair of boots. We have a winner for the group giveaway that ended last week. I was just too busy throwing back Miller's and making my way around Orlando to get to posting about it. My apologies. Congratulations to Stevie on winning some pretty awesome prizes, you go girl!

And now I'm off to maybe shower for the first time all week since I've gotten my wisdom teeth out and cut up food to the size of a toddler's so that I'm able to get it down my throat. Whoever said I'd lose weight after having this surgery is on crack because I'm pretty sure I've even just as much if not more than I normally do. Apparently nothing will ever stop me from wanting to eat. Especially the bag of Reese's cups stashed away in my parent's fridge. Gimme ALL da foods.

But while I'm busy looking and acting like a hippo let me introduce you to Katelyn who I love and adore. That's probably because she wrote this post which hits really close to home for me and also because, well, she has a really pretty blog design because, well, cough cough I designed it. Muahaha. No but in all seriousness she's great so get to know her and then stop on over and say hi for me would ya?

1. If you had to be stuck in one season for the rest of your life, which one would it be?
If I had to be stuck in one season for the rest of my life I would undoubtedly choose...wait, this is harder than I thought.  I'm gonna go with FALL.  In Kentucky fall is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!  I love the colors..reds, yellows, and oranges!  Oh, my!  I love the smells.  There is nothing sweeter to me than the smell of a pumpkins spice candle filling the house.  I also love that during the day the temperatures linger at the perfect mixture of warm and cool.  At night, the crisp air brings about the feeling of a new beginning.  I also love that fall brings in the holiday season.

2. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
My favorite cartoon growing up was...umm, does it have to be a cartoon?  Because I grew up in the TGIF era and loved all things Full House, Boy Meets World, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.  If I have to go with a cartoon I would choose The Little Mermaid, you know the one that came on Saturday mornings, not the movie (although I love that, too).

3. If you could hop on a plane tomorrow and go anywhere in the world where would it be?
If I could hop on a plane and go anywhere tomorrow I would go to...Montego Bay, Jamaica.  Montego Bay holds a special place in my heart because it is where I got married.
