Tales From The South

When I was in college my main priorities were trying not to zone out in class, conquering the exact amount of seconds the microwave needed to cook the perfect bag of popcorn, and deciding whether or not to wear my skimpy dress or skimpier dress out on Friday night.

But the girl I'm going to introduce you to today is doing quite a bit more than that. Her name is Maria and she's currently going to school in Southern Louisiana. Props to this girl for being able to tackle school, a social life, studying, and a blog all at once.

Check her out and go say hello!

Hey y’all, I’m Maria and I blog over at Tales from the South (that's me in the grey sweater). I live in Baton Rouge, but spend a great deal of my time with my family in New Orleans (where we’re from). Though nine times out of ten, I’m day dreaming about living in NYC, London, or Rome.

I’m a junior in college, living in a sorority house, which you can imagine is one of the most interesting living experiences ever. At first, I started blogging to keep in touch with my momma. Because even though I’m only living 30 minutes away from where I grew up, it’s not close enough.

I live in a college town where football and baseball reign supreme. Down here, it can jokingly be said we have four seasons: Mardi Gras (winter),Crawfish (spring), Snoball (summer) and football (Fall).  Sometimes, it’s as if living here is like living in another world, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
