Friday Deserves a High Five

My Friday Five

I stumbled across these Michael Kors beauties in Lord and Taylor. If it weren't for the blatantly obvious security tags attached to them I might have tried to swipe every single one of them and high tail it out of there.

I got these pretty little prints set up in one of my bathrooms

I was sad to hear about the passing of Maurice Sendak. I have some pretty fond memories of my mom reading this book to me and my brother when we were little. It's such a classic and he truly captured the minds of children and made them imagine.

A good story from the man himself:
"A little boy... sent me a charming card with a little drawing. I loved it. I answer all my children's letters — sometimes very hastily — but this one I lingered over. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, "Dear Jim: I loved your card." Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, "Jim loved your card so much he ate it." That to me was one of the highest compliments I've ever received. He didn't care that it was an original drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it."

I had a party in my mouth while eating this for a coworker's birthday. Spanish sundaes are heaven, especially when your peanut to ice cream ratio heavily favors the nut side.

And my friends finally got their pictures up from, oh, two weekends ago. Apparently there's no need for speed if you're not blogging about your life adventures like me.

Us again at the stadium with $12 burrs in hand

I hope you all have a fantabulous weekend!
Especially if you're a mother.

P.S. I'm linking up with these two ladies:
