Our morning. Every morning. Rori attempting to eat scrambled eggs or oatmeal until she gives up and just asks for my shake. All while watching “Boo!” aka Monster’s Inc. And Pudge waiting like a vulture to swoop in and devour the leftovers. Also while it stays gloomy and dark AF in here because it is January 115th.

Happy people are my favorite. Give happiness — Be happy.

Happy happy day over here y’all! I am officially back to my “good old days” college weight. I graduated at 20 sooo that is now eight years ago😱 I’m honestly dumbfounded. I didn’t even go to the gym one time last month because, let’s face it, I’ve been a little busy. But holy macaroni I am SO proud of this body and the badass things it can do. A baby came out of that tummy, you guys! It’s unreal to me and I’m so grateful to have found something that works for me and my lifestyle🙌🏻💗 And just as a little reminder... swipe right for what I looked like in December😫

Here’s what it all comes down to: I’m terrified of regret.

I’m terrified that I’ll be 90 one day and when my head hits the pillow I’ll say something to myself like “God damnit why did I not choose my life? Why did I settle for it? Why did I not go do X, Y, and Z?”
▫️
But it’ll be too late. I’ll be tired. I’ll have no time left. I’ll be without options. My life will be flashing before my eyes and I’ll have regret.

Do you know what the majority of people regret in the end of it all? NOT going and doing something.

And that fear of regret and that “not” is exactly what drives me. That “not” makes me choose the untraditional route. Makes me not give a crap what anyone thinks. Makes me dream a little bigger. Makes me live a little more out loud. Makes me entirely unphased by the misunderstandings and the uneducated eye rolls and the “no thank you’s”.

That “not” makes me go DO!

So now I’m just tunnel vision focused on me. On choosing my ideal life. And choosing to surround myself with the individuals that “get it”. The ones that are crazy enough to think that they can change the world. Because they’ll be the the ones that will. And you bet your ass they won’t be looking back at 90 years regretting a damn thing👊🏻

Aurora is officially all signed up for pre-school this coming fall. Give me a second while I curl up into a ball and die. It’s only a program for two year olds, 2.5 hours a day, two days a week. So she’ll basically be there long enough for me to take her coat off and kiss her goodbye before I have to pick her back up again, but still. She’s going to school! So obviously she needed a pink velvet backpack for her new adventure... five months before it starts😏
