Blog Design Install: The Tennessee Classroom

I've been a little Energizer bunny over here lately when it comes to all things blog design. It is, without a doubt, one of my most favorite things that has come from blogging (besides all my pretty friends, of course) and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. At least that is until you all stop emailing me asking for new designs, that is!

The little number I'm introducing today already made its debut on social media last week, but I just fell in love with it so much that I figured it needed to find a home here on the blog as well. Let's take a look, shall we?

The colors were obviously centered around corals, pinks, and golds, while the inspiration came from all things Kate Spade and watercolored. I immediately got to work creating the inspiration board (above) before I even had all the details straightened out with my client. I was just that excited about the overall theme she was going for.

A few back and forth questions with Stephanie and a bit of design work later... we had ourselves a brand new design for a brand new blogger. Eek! And thus "The Tennessee Classroom" was born.

Stephanie is a 2nd year teacher living in Nashville who went back and forth for a long while on whether or not she wanted to start a blog. I'm so glad she decided to go for it and emailed me letting me know that she was brand new to the blog world but wanted a bright and colorful design to showcase her bright and colorful school classroom.

She also confessed that she was a "Kate Spade-a-holic" and stripes, polka dots, and watercolor florals were all things she was a fan of. So I ran with her inspiration and came up with a design that I thought suited the mood she was going for.

And then I fell so much in love that I emailed her the final design telling her I'd gladly take it over from her if she didn't like it, so that I could redo my blog... again. But she ended up being just as ecstatic about it as I was, so I'm sticking with mine and she's sporting her brand new outfit making me jealous every day.

And that was the final mockup before the install to make everything go live. You can check it out in action here. What do you all think?

P.S. If you're in need of a new blog design, please don't hesitate to check out my "design" page to take a look around and get yourself a brand new look for spring! I would absolutely love to work with you and it's tons of fun, I promise. Plus, my Energizer bunny routine means that you'll have yourself a new space in no time. Win win!
